reopt Inc. (the “Company”) takes user privacy seriously and complies with the Personal Information Protection Act and other applicable laws. This policy explains how the Company collects, uses, retains, and disposes of personal data through the reopt Handbook service (the “Service”).
1. Information We Collect
- On sign-up or sign-in:
- Required: email address, display name
- Optional: profile image
- Automatically collected during Service use:
- IP address, browser, operating system, access time, usage logs
- Identifiers collected via cookies and similar technologies
2. Purposes of Use
- Account identification, authentication, and abuse prevention
- Service delivery, content recommendation, and product improvement
- Usage analytics and service quality measurement
- Notice delivery and customer support
3. Retention and Use Period
- The Company retains personal data until the User withdraws membership.
- Information that must be preserved by law is retained for the period specified by the relevant law and then destroyed.
4. Disclosure to Third Parties
The Company does not disclose personal data to third parties without the User’s consent, except as required by law or in response to a lawful request from an investigative authority.
5. Outsourcing of Processing
The Company may outsource certain processing tasks to external specialists to operate the Service. When doing so, the Company discloses the recipient and the scope of the outsourced work in advance and supervises secure processing in accordance with applicable law.
6. Rights of the Data Subject
Users may exercise the following rights regarding their personal data at any time:
- Request to access, correct, delete, or suspend processing of personal data
- Withdraw consent to the collection and use of personal data
Requests can be made via the contact channel in section 9, and the Company will act on them without undue delay.
7. Cookies and Analytics
- The Company uses cookies and similar technologies to improve the experience and analyze usage, and uses Google Analytics 4 (GA4), provided by Google LLC, to measure anonymous usage statistics. Some of the information collected may be transmitted to and processed by Google.
- For users in GDPR regions such as the EU, EEA, and the UK, the Company requests prior consent via a consent banner and does not set analytics cookies or send analytics data before consent is granted (Consent Mode).
- Users can change or withdraw their analytics consent at any time via “Cookie settings” in the page footer, and may also refuse cookie storage through browser settings, though some features may be limited as a result.
8. Security Measures
The Company implements reasonable technical and administrative measures, including access control, encryption, and access log retention, to safely process personal data.
